Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Zombie Zoom ("the Game," "we," "us," or "our"), published by rsi, handles information in connection with your use of the Zombie Zoom mobile game application distributed via Google Play.
By installing or using the Game you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
1. Information the Game Stores
The Game saves the following information locally on your device using Android's system preferences storage (PlayerPrefs):
- In-game currency balances (brains and virus vials)
- Audio preferences (sound effects on/off, music on/off, volume levels)
- Basic run statistics and synchronization metadata (version number, last-modified timestamp)
This data does not leave your device except when you opt in to features that explicitly synchronize with a cloud service (see Section 3).
2. Information the Game Does Not Collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Photos, videos, or other media from your device
- Access to your camera or microphone
The Game does not request, prompt for, or have access to any of the above.
3. Third-Party Services
The Game integrates, or may in the future integrate, with the following third-party services. When active, each service operates under its own privacy policy and may collect or process information outside our direct control:
Google Play Services (Google LLC)
Required for installation, updates, and standard Play Store functionality. Google may process your Google Account identifier and device information. See: Google Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
The Game may offer optional in-app purchases of virtual currency. All payment processing is handled by Google Play Billing. We receive only confirmation of a completed purchase — we do not see or store your payment card, billing address, or Google Account email. Refund requests are handled directly by Google.
Google Play Games Services (optional cloud save)
When the cloud save feature is enabled, your game progress is synchronized across your devices using Google Play Games Services. This associates a snapshot of your in-game currency and settings with your Google Account identifier and stores it on Google's infrastructure. You can disable cloud save by signing out of Google Play Games on your device. See: Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising (rewarded video, when enabled)
The Game may offer optional rewarded video advertisements delivered by third-party ad networks (for example, Unity Ads or Google AdMob). Watching a rewarded ad is always voluntary. Ad networks typically collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android)
- IP address
- General device information (model, operating system version, language)
- Aggregated ad interaction data (ad impressions, completion, clicks)
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time through Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device, which also lets you opt out of personalized advertising.
4. How We Use Information
Information collected or stored by the Game is used solely to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Game's functionality
- Process optional in-app purchases
- Synchronize your game progress across devices, if you enable cloud save
- Deliver optional advertisements and measure ad engagement
- Diagnose technical issues and improve stability
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use information stored locally on your device for any purpose other than running the Game.
5. Data Security
We rely on the security mechanisms built into the Android operating system and the third-party services listed above to protect information related to your use of the Game. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The Game is rated for ages 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used the Game in a way that submitted personal information, please contact us using the information below and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under applicable privacy laws (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and similar laws). These may include:
- The right to access a copy of your personal information
- The right to request correction or deletion of your information
- The right to opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
- The right to data portability
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because the Game does not collect personally identifiable information directly, most of these rights are exercised through your Google Account, your device settings, or by deleting and reinstalling the Game (which clears local data). To submit a request to us directly, please use the contact information below.
8. International Data Transfers
The third-party services listed in Section 3 may process information on servers located outside your country of residence. Such transfers are governed by those services' own privacy practices and the applicable legal frameworks (for example, Google's standard contractual clauses for EU–U.S. data transfers).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Game's features, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and post the revised Policy at the same URL. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
